Product Description
KN95 is a standard Chinese mask
It comes from GB 2626-2006, the national standard of China, "self-absorption filter anti-particulate respirator of respiratory protective equipment".
(1) standard source
This standard is mandatory national standard of China, proposed by the state administration of work safety, and centralized by the national technical committee for standardization of individual protective equipment (SAC/TC 112).
(2) technical content
From the scope of application, this standard is applicable to ordinary self-absorption filtration respirators to protect against all kinds of particulate matter. Typical respirators, such as masks, are not applicable to other special environments (such as anoxic environment, underwater operation, etc.)
From the definition of particulate matter, this standard defines various forms of particulate matter, including dust, smoke, fog and microorganisms, but does not define the size of particulate matter.
From the level of filter element, it can be divided into the class of filtering non-oily particulate KN and the class of filtering oily and non-oily particulate KP, which are marked as similar to the N and R/P stipulated in the interpretation guidelines of CFR 42-84-1995.

In addition, GB 2626-2006 also has general requirements, appearance inspection, leakage, respiratory resistance, breathing valve, dead chamber, field of view, headband, connection and connection parts, lenses, air tightness, flammability, cleaning and disinfection, manufacturer shall provide information, packaging and other technical requirements.
(3) matters needing attention
It is worth noting that the GB 2626-2006 "respiratory protective equipment self-priming prevent particulate respirator filter type" will become invalid, instead of the new standard GB 2626-2019 "prevent particulate respirators self-priming filter type respirator", is by the state administration of market supervision and management on December 31, 2019 by the People's Republic of China in 2019, the 17th national standard announcement to the whole society, and will take effect on July 1, 2020, the new standard by the emergency department and focal points are put forward.
At present, the text of the new standard has been published and made freely available to the whole society as a compulsory standard. The new standard adds seven terms such as "aerodynamic particle size", and modifies some technical requirements and detection methods, but does not modify the classification, marking and filtration efficiency listed in this paper [1].
N95 is the American standard
The N95 mask is one of nine types of particulate respirators certified by NIOSH, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.N95 is not a specific product name, but as long as the product meets the N95 standard and passes the NIOSH review, it can be called N95 mask, which can achieve filtration efficiency of more than 95% on particles with an aerodynamic diameter of 0.075 m±0.020 m.
